The Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Latvia, established in 1991, plays a pivotal role in fostering and executing Nordic cooperation with Latvia. We collaborate extensively with local partners, including national, regional, and local institutions, as well as NGOs and Nordic diplomatic representations. Together, we drive impactful projects across various domains.
We're on the lookout for a Communication Adviser who will work closely with our talented office team and forge connections between Nordic and Baltic institutions, organizations and societies. Your mission: to amplify and fortify Nordic-Baltic cooperation, championing the Nordic Vision 2030.
Your Responsibilities:
- Stay on top of relevant topics in Nordic-Baltic cooperation.
- Build valuable contacts and networks with institutions, organizations, and media in Latvia and the Nordics.
- Take the lead in developing and managing communication and media projects, including administrative tasks and reporting.
- Be the communication guru for conferences, events, and other outreach activities by our Office.
- Craft engaging content about our work for our website and social media platforms.
Your Skills:
- A higher education degree in a relevant field.
- Fluent in Latvian and English. Knowledge of a Nordic language would be a fantastic bonus, but not mandatory.
- A keen interest in collaborating with the Nordic countries. Previous work or cooperation experience in a Nordic country will definitely impress us!
- Proven work experience and established networks in relevant sectors.
- Strong communication and outreach skills, with an aptitude for project development and management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including computer proficiency. Experience in social media communication will be highly valued.
- Social adaptability and a team-oriented mindset. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting people and has a flexible and positive outlook.
